The seventh podcast episode is now live on iTunes. In this podcast episode I speak with Jason Yelowitz who has generated millions of dollars in commissions as an affiliate marketer and recently released the book Bathrobe Millionaire.

On this podcast Jason talks about how he first got started in this business back during the high valuations dot com era in the early 2000’s. After running a few other internet businesses he transitioned into the life of an affiliate marketers and focused on building his business out of his home.

It’s a very interesting story filled with some big successes and big failures. I love being able to speak with other internet entrepreneurs that have been involved for years in the market because the advice shared based on experience is well worth listening to. I hope you enjoy it!

    Great podcast. I’ve read Bathrobe Millionaire and it’s definitely a good read and I would recommend it too.

    Question: Who do you cold call specifically when you find a company that advertises in your niche when you are looking to put ads up. I get how to find the companies, but don’t know who to ask for. Thanks.

    1. Hey Tony,

      The way most people do it is to ask for someone in charge of purchasing / making decisions; however, I’ve found this to be a terrible way to go about it as most people think you’re trying to sell them something (which you are) but you just don’t want to let them know that right away. So what I try and do is just get in touch with someone in marketing and explain some details about the website / demographics and why I thought their amazingly awesome company would be a great fit for me to partner with.

      That’s how I’ve done it at least.

    Great podcast. Your interview sounded really relaxed and Jason was a really interesting guest. I can’t imagine what it would feel like to lose so much money but there is a consistant message with successful people that after getting knocked down, they get up and keep fighting.

    I went to Jason’s site and added the info in for one of my websites and the evaluation was pretty good…Not over the top like other crazy estimating sites… Now I am thinking of selling too.. I want to join the 6 figure website selling gang! :)
